With a thoroughly contemporary and stylish look, the new 50ft yachts have luxurious details synonymous with Fairline, coupled with a more sporty, racy feel.

The new exterior styling features stunning anthracite vinyl wrapped hardtops. There is a bold choice of burnt orange, vivid red or electric blue exterior upholstery and complementing helm seats, creating a stand out impression as soon as you step onboard.

A signature Fairline Yachts feature bulkhead gives the master cabin added wow factor and the interior has rich, luxurious textures throughout. These include New Zealand wool twist carpets, oak flooring, Carrara white marble worktops, Italian leather, highlights of satin bronze and carefully considered atmospheric lighting throughout.

The 50ft range comes with a choice of twin Volvo IPS 600, 650 or 700 engine options, the latter providing a top speed in excess of 34 knots. With user-friendly joystick controls, Volvo’s impressive IPS engines offer excellent manoeuvrability, outstanding performance and low emissions.

Each of these yachts are available with Fairline’s first Premium Pack, a turnkey solution that offers owners an easy route to boating. Specification highlights in the Premium Pack include high capacity air conditioning, an Onan 11Kw generator, a submersible bathing platform with 400kg lifting capacity, a Sleipner bow thruster, a 21kg Ultra anchor with 50m stainless steel chain, Fusion entertainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, teak-laid flybridge floor on the Squadron model, a 12” Volvo GPS Map 8612 touchscreen display, blue exterior mood lighting and wet bar complete with griddle, fridge, icemaker and sink.

Fairline Yachts releases images of new 48-foot range

Luxury British boat builder, Fairline Yachts, releases the images of its 48-foot range following a recent photoshoot in Sydney, Australia.

Reinforcing Fairline’s position as a truly global brand, this is the first time the British boat builder has shot its main campaign imagery in Australia. The move comes as Fairline’s Australian dealer recently took delivery of the full range of models, comprising of the Targa 48 GT, Targa 48 OPEN and Squadron 48.

The images were expertly shot by Miami based photographer Charl Jordaan of Yachting Image, who captured not only these stunning yachts but also the very essence of what it is like to take a cruise around the world famous Sydney Harbour.

Luxury British boatbuilder, Fairline Yachts, announces it is set to display an extended range of its latest boats at Boot Düsseldorf 2019, the world’s largest indoor boat show hosted annually in Germany.

In addition to the stellar line-up of Fairline Yachts models, visitors to the Fairline booth will be able to explore a highly detailed and immersive virtual reality experience of the Targa 63 GTO, Squadron 64 and all new F/Line 33, which is due to launch next year.

Fairline’s star of the show is the Targa 43 OPEN, which made its worldwide debut at Cannes Yachting Festival in September. This innovative addition to the Targa range is the latest boat from the hugely successful partnership between celebrated Italian superyacht designer, Alberto Mancini, and the British boatyard. Following in the footsteps of its larger sister, the Targa 63 GTO, the Targa 43 OPEN was announced as the winner of the ‘Best Exterior Design’ Award in the 46-59 foot category at the prestigious World Yachts Trophies, and has been very well received by both customers and dealers alike.

The Targa 43 OPEN reimagines the popular Targa 43, which was originally launched in the late 1990s, to produce a boat with the innovative, versatile, light, bright and stylish feel that characterises the new generation of Fairline models. Squadron 53

This expansive cruiser features a spacious main deck from the cockpit to the lower helm, which in turn ensures a generous 6ft 4in headroom at the foot of the large double bed in the mid-master cabin, adding to an overall sense of space. From superior engineering and multiple layout options, to small details that delight, the Squadron 53 is the perfect choice for those who want their yacht their way.

Targa 48 GT

Combining the luxury of a spacious, sociable main deck with a well-appointed helm station with twin pilot seats, the Targa 48 GT enables you to share the thrill of discovery in comfort. Technologies come as standard, such as the electric, hard-top roof, coupled with panelled glazing. Fairline Yachts releases new images of F-Line 33

British luxury boat builder, Fairline Yachts, releases new images of its brand new 33ft express cruiser, the F-Line 33. This eagerly anticipated boat will launch in Spring 2019, with an immersive virtual reality experience of the boat launching at Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2018.

With a large forward sun bed and a spacious aft seating area, configurable to another sun bed, the 33’s deck is made for summer time entertaining. The sociable self-contained cockpit galley features a high spec BBQ, fridge and ice maker. An innovative drop-down transom extends the usable space onboard by an additional three feet, creating an increased connection to the water and adds to the overall sociability of the boat. The F-Line 33 is fitted with Fusion Entertainment’s newly launched premium Apollo system, the first marine entertainment system that features a one-piece glass touchscreen display and built-in Wi-Fi streaming. Atmospheric signature lighting features thoughtfully throughout the boat, creating a warm ambience onboard whilst looking striking externally. The simple touch screen glass bridge helm reflects the boat’s sleek lines and has been designed with ease of use front of mind. Fittings such as cleats and fender eyes are neatly hidden away and pop up when required. The F-Line 33 has been designed by 2018’s World Yacht Trophies Yacht Designer of the Year winner, Alberto Mancini. Established in 1967 and having recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, Fairline Yachts has a reputation for innovation and excellence.

The UK-based company has been building family and sports cruisers for almost 40 years of its history, embarking on the build of even larger craft in the early 1990s. It’s these craft that effectively cemented the brand’s global reputation, a reputation that has just entered a new stage of its evolution with the arrival of celebrated Italian designer Alberto Mancini and Dutch naval architects and superyacht specialist, Vripack, into the Fairline fold.

Fairline’s first Targa was launch in 1985. That boat, the Targa 33 set a benchmark for the modern express cruiser and helped establish the brand in markets outside of Europe.

Much more recently, Fairline launched the 48 Series in 2014. The innovative design incorporated both resin-infusion technology and a new monocoque deck construction, as well as a unique hull, designed exclusively for Volvo’s IPS pod-drive technology.

The Targa 48 Open has been one of Fairline’s most popular models. And now the company has released an updated version of the Targa 48 Gran Turismo (GT).

Based on the same hull, mechanicals and layout as the Targa 48, the Fairline Targa 48 GT, adds a level of luxury to the equation.

The craft we’re profiling is lying at Sanctuary Cove (Qld) and is available for immediate delivery. It has been upgraded for local conditions by Leigh-Smith Yachts and features an Australian-friendly ‘galley up’ layout and retains its full deck-level salon, aft sliding doors and opening hardtop.

Being one of the most recent 48 GT builds, Hull 48/529 GT also incorporates the latest 2018 upgrades to Fairline’s 48-foot range. These include a reworked interior to “maximise quality, comfort and style” and, says Fairline, the addition of the same full-length hull windows that feature on the award-winning Targa 63 GTO.

“Ensuring life below deck is bathed in natural light as well as adding a modern, sleek and stylish exterior look,” Fairline stated.

Grand proportions

While the Targa 48 Open offers plenty of protection for a sports boat, the Fairline Targa 48 Gran Turismo takes the equation one step further. The one-touch operation powered, glazed sunroof teamed with luxurious saloon seating makes for an ideally versatile experience both day and night – and the feeling of a much larger yacht.

Starting from aft, there’s a good sized cockpit with a large u-shaped lounge for the whole crew. A removable table delivers an al fresco dining experience and there’s a small wet bar to starboard just outside the sliding saloon door.

Two steps down from the cockpit is a large swim platform. The platform provides access to generous aft storage and, as it is powered, can be configured to accommodate and easily launch and retrieve a tender or personal watercraft.

Leigh-Smith Yachts will display an impressive line-up of world-class motor yachts at this year's Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS), where the local Queensland boating family and business is one of only a few to display for all 30 years consecutive years of SCIBS.

Making its Australian debut is the new 2018 Fairline Targa 48 GT, a stunning new model from the pen of designer Alberto Mancini with engineering by the highly awarded design studio Vripack.

Fairline lifts lid on Esprit concept boat at ExCeL

New concept Fairline Esprit is a hybrid-powered 30ft sportsboat designed with sustainability in mind

Fairline has taken a leaf out of the automotive book and has turned up to the London Boat Show with an exciting concept design.

The Fairline Esprit is a 30ft hybrid sportsboat that comes in cuddy cabin and bowrider forms and is designed to whip along at 30 knots from a single sterndriven 400hp diesel or motor silently at 5 knots under electric power.

Sustainability was a key driving force behind the design, according to Fairline, which proposes using bio-derived epoxy resins in the construction and recycled synthetic composite teak for the decks.

Resin infusion will keep things light to maximise performance and economy while LED lights throughout will keep power draw to a minimum.

On the bowlder version, Fairline has designed a solar T-top that can fold away to cover the bow seating when not in use, the panels being used to power the ultrasonic antifouling system and keep batteries charged.

One of the most exciting elements of the new design, and one which we hope to see on future boats, is a chartplotter and system information display built into the central boss of the steering wheel.

This could show the radar display, the autopilot, charts or how much fuel is in the tanks. Fairline even said it hadn’t ruled out flappy paddle controls.

As with most car concepts, it’s unlikely the Fairline Esprit will ever appear in the form on display at the show, but nevertheless we love this attempt at seeing the future and hope other yards start doing the same.

FAIRLINE SQUADRON 53 REVIEW by Motorboat Magazine

The first thing that strikes you when you set foot inside the saloon of the Fairline Squadron 53 is that it smells right.

Bear with me on this. The smell is one of quality, of leather and wood, the sort of smell you would expect if you were to walk into a Bentley showroom. This sets the tone for an interior that, in terms of finish, is put together in the way that a Fairline should be.

It’s no secret that towards the end of the former Fairline regime, corners were being cut quite drastically – just read our report on the Squadron 48 from the January 2014 issue. There’s none of this on the 53 though – it’s all meticulously lacquered woods, diverse and rich textures and an air of quality that makes it feel a bit special.

The cabinet just aft of the lower helm encapsulates the new approach well. Its glossy lustre is bolstered by its design, which ignores the temptation to employ hard angles in an attempt to feel more contemporary and instead, sports soft curves and subtle fiddles.

Its fascia is a mix of leather panelling and stainless-steel highlighting, and it’s flanked by materials around the helm that blend soft-touch plastics with diamond-quilted leather that look and feel as classy as it gets.

It’s the same story in the cabins where the master suite bursts with thoughtful styling, including a woven leather bed head, chunky marble tops and eye-catching flourishes in places that usually go unnoticed, like the patterned marble inset with grippy tread in the shower tray.

This is a cabin that shares its layout (as indeed does the entire lower deck) with the Targa 53 sportscruiser except for one key improvement: headroom. The Squadron has 6ft 3in (1.92m) of clearance at the end of the bed and just under 6ft 1in (1.86m) around each side. It’s better – much better – than the Targa but still not quite as good as the Sunseeker Manhattan 52 or Absolute 52 Fly, both of which feel bigger all round.

Neither of them look as good as the Squadron, though. Because it isn’t so tall, it has far and away the most pleasing exterior lines, and Alberto Mancini has used some clever tricks to reduce the visual height even further. See how the windscreen and dark flybridge moulding blend into one another and those two dark stripes arc back from the windscreen surrounds aft to the radar tower. They’re all designed to trick the eye.

Innovators improving the boating experience

There are plenty of great ideas out there to improve boating for us all. But the people who really innovate are the ones who take those ideas and make them real, and have a palpable impact on the on-the-water experience. These are the leaders of the industry. Jeff Chen of Hampton Yachts is one of those leaders and shares his insights into how he makes boating better.

Power & Motoryacht: How does your passion both for boating and business feed innovation?

Jeff Chen: I was born into a family with the passion for boating, after all the family boatbuilding business started in Taiwan over 50 years ago. I spent my youth hanging around boatyards and boats. I learned the passion for business from my Engineering and Graduate Studies at Stanford University. This background instilled in me a desire to create and build the best and most technically advanced yachts possible, and led to our collaboration with Howard Apollonio in developing the Hybrid Hull for our Endurance series and the new Split-Chine hull design for our new generation of the Hampton Pilothouse series—and the collaboration with JC Espinosa on the exciting new Euro and Pilothouse series.

Power & Motoryacht: What lesson from your past has helped move your business forward?

Jeff Chen: Low leverage, cautious and prudent expansion of production facilities; source and hire the most talented boatbuilders available; continual product innovation and improvement; enhanced quality control and exceptional warranty and customer-service programs.

Power & Motoryacht: How will your products change to meet the needs of the evolving marketplace?

Jeff Chen: Our products are evolving continuously. We currently have three brands (Hampton Series, Endurance Series, and the new Regency Series) each is different and each has been developed to meet the different client/market demands of their categories. We will continue to evolve these brands as new technologies become available. We have also confirmed our emphasis on the 60- to 100-foot size range and will continue our collaboration with naval architect Howard Apollonio and designer JC Espinosa on refinements and new product development. To reduce the demand on our overcrowded Shanghai facility, we have recently turned ground on construction of a new boatyard in Taiwan that will be one of the largest build facilities in Asia at 163,350 square feet (about 15,000 square meters). Completion of the new Kaohsiung facility is expected to be June, 2017.

Luxury British motor yacht manufacturer, Fairline Yachts, unveils imagery and the specification of its stunning Targa 43 OPEN following the announcement of the all-new model earlier this year.

Set to launch in Spring 2018, the Targa 43 OPEN express cruiser is set to become the spiritual successor to the original, and phenomenally popular, Targa 43 with almost 300 produced by Fairline between 1997-2005 – a model which remains highly sought after in the brokerage market.

This sleek and stylish cruiser is emphasised by an eye-catching, tapered hull window that accentuates the dynamic character of this sporty Targa model. Taking inspiration from Alberto Mancini’s design of the recently launched Targa 63 GTO, the Targa 43 OPEN features the leading edge styling that is synonymous with Mancini and this new age of Fairline Yachts.

The new Targa 43 OPEN’s cockpit boasts a large sun bed over the tender garage, expansive cockpit seating and comfortable companion seating opposite the helm - the perfect arrangement for maximising enjoyment on board. There are a choice of twin engine options from Volvo, the D6-375 with sterndrives and two IPS options, the IPS500 and IPS600 - the latter expected to achieve a minimum fully-loaded speed of 34 knots. There is also the ability to add a Seakeeper NG5 gyroscopic stabiliser, ensuring the highest level of comfort on board.

Fairline’s Targa 63 GTO crowned winner at 2017 World Yachts Trophies

British luxury motor yacht manufacturer, Fairline Yachts, was last night announced as the winner of the best exterior design in the 50-80ft yachts category at the highly coveted World Yachts Trophies, the annual ‘Oscars’ of the yachting industry.

The award-winning star of the night was Fairline’s newly-launched Targa 63 GTO, the culmination of the brand’s collaboration with world-renowned superyacht designer, Alberto Mancini - who also picked up the esteemed Designer of the Year award. The Targa 63 GTO features the world-class combination of Mancini’s stunning Italian styling, rigorous and proven naval architecture by renowned Dutch firm Vripack and the hand-crafted, made in Great Britain quality of Fairline’s passionate and skilled craftsmen.

Judges commended Fairline, praising the quality, craftsmanship and collaborative work that went into creating the Targa 63 GTO.

Alaska 49 Review

Since Leigh-Smith Yachts sold their first Alaska into Australia in 2003, the Leigh-Smith family have been near wholly responsible for over 90 boats being built in the 40-series alone with hull #94 due in early 2017. Barry Thompson went to the Gold Coast to check it out the 49 Alaska Sedan, their latest model.

The new 49 Alaska Sedan is a semi-traditional coastal cruiser that is going to be right at home cruising the Pittwater, Moreton Bay, Bay of Islands or Hauraki Gulf. The Alaska Range are equally comfortable in these surrounds but also excel as coastal cruisers for those extended runs and the explorers amongst us. Ryan Leigh-Smith, Director of Leigh-Smith Yachts, builders of the Alaska range, says he often refers to the Alaska 40- Series range as being the modern Moreton Bay Cruiser.

“They slot into that genre and have all the aspects and looks of a Moreton Bay Cruiser, but with the agility and performance provided by the bigger engines. The 49 Alaska follows the existing 43 Alaska (13.11m) and 47 Alaska (14.33m) and is soon to be joined by a 55 Alaska, 59 Alaska and a 62 Alaska. All boats are available in either sedan or flybridge, but in recent years it has been the sedan versions that have proven the most popular by a ratio for nearly 2:1. “There is a definite appeal with the sedan range and we feel that our boats have found a stable place in the market, with sales over the last few years been extremely steady”, says Ryan.

Bigger & Better

The new 49 Alaska Sedan is a transition from the popular 47 Alaska Sedan and while it retains the same beam and profile, it is longer overall. The main dividing style changes are around the helm position and the internal layout. There is now a third cabin in under the pilothouse, which is a big step up from the 47 Alaska that has only two.

This has been achieved by moving the engine room bulkhead aft and raising the area under the galley and helm area. A further benefit of the change is that the 49 Alaska has a big C shape drop lounge in the saloon area, which provides a distinct separation between the saloon and pilothouse. “We felt the pilothouse with the galley around the helm was better for longer range cruising. It works well and is very practical,” says Ryan. He adds that the while the galley is well forward of the saloon, the aft area is still adequately serviced with facilities for a fridge/freezer, hot and cold water, bbq and icemaker.
The stern area remains unchanged and is the same as the 47 Alaska. “We feel we have this just about perfect now and couldn’t see any need to change what seems to work so well. It’s practical and efficient and our clients seem to like it”, says Ryan.

Improved Performance

The running surface of the hull of the 49 Alaska is 1.5 longer than the 47 Alaska and it has made the boat more efficient and better in both fuel economy and performance. Engine options for the 49 Alaska sedan are Cummins QSB6.7, 440hp, 480hp and 550hp with shaft drives.

Powered by a pair of 480hp Cummins QSB6.7 engines, the 49 Alaska at wide open throttles is faster than the 47 Alaska. The long-range cruise speed of around 10 knots has seen a drop in fuel burn and overall better fuel economy and high speed at most rpm. The 49 Alaska is also better trimmed with the repositioning of the engines. Push the throttles right down and the 49 Alaska Sedan will hit 22 knots plus, for a range of 260nm. You only have to bring that back to a more leisurely 10 knots and the range jumps to around 550 nm. Considering that you would probably spend a lot of your time cruising at an even more sedate speed as you explore the bays of the Hauraki Gulf, Whitsundays or Pittwater you could extend that to more than 1000nm. Very economical boating!

Three Cabins – Sleep Five

The interior is fully custom built with no internal liner, which means that you can tailor the interior to your requirements as the build uses every square millimetre of the spaces. High gloss timber with soft fabric accents are used throughout and as Ryan points out the boats are built to a premium standard while maintaining a very competitive price bracket, it’s important to offer true value to our clientele.

“Anything is possible and you can certainly up-spec your Alaska to the most elite standard of fit and finish with our in-house design team, it’s all up to the buyer and what they want. “Traditionally we have got a level of finish and fit out that we are happy with and while each boat is an evolving product, there is not a lot that has changed in the new model”, says Ryan. African Cherry timbers are used throughout the interior of the first 49 Alaska Sedan, but you have multiple options as to the wood used. The 49 Alaska is a three cabin yacht with amidships queen sized stateroom, convertible double/ V-twin VIP cabin forward and a twin king single cabin aft. The accommodation forward sees a conventional V-Berth configuration offering 2 x king singles that with the insert of a filler cushion make up a huge queen/king bed. Like the rest of the 49 Alaska, your accommodation layout is entirely dictated by what you want. A day head separates the cabins, with the master cabin amidships with a spacious island queen sized berth with an ensuite. This has a full-size shower, Tecma quiet flush head, large vanity with raised bowl and teak and holly sole. This is not quite a private full beam master, due to the stairs from the wheelhouse above, but it is plenty big enough. Aft is the third cabin with twin 6’2″ singles under the wheelhouse. This is the extra cabin gained due to the hull extension and aft bulkhead replacement. I was surprised just how much space is offered in here and it still has full height sitting headroom. All cabins provide plenty of storage lockers and drawers and can be serviced with individual air conditioning. Port lights provide extra ventilation and light.

Saloon Changes

With the extra metre of space gained over the 47 Alaska, the layout of the 49 Alaska has taken on a whole new look. Whereas the 47 had a port side galley running down the full length of the saloon, the 49 now has a full forward lounge and galley space.

The separation between the aft saloon and forward galley and helm is noticeable but seamless. Overhead lockers are high enough so they don’t impede on sightlines from anywhere inside. Aft is an entertainment area to starboard, complete with a pop-up40″ TV, and a U-shape lounger and high-low dining table opposite. This can also be converted to yet another accommodation space. The galley is divided with a fridge/freezer with Corian bench tops and overhead lockers to starboard and the main galley and prep area to port. A large L shape Corian bench top has a two-burner induction cooktop with overhead ventilation and all the usual cupboards and storage space beneath. There’s also an FP dish drawer, induction microwave and deep recess drawers with soft close catches by Blum. A triple helm seat has dual access, from either the saloon or sliding bulwark stainless doors either side. These also provide excellent cross-flow ventilation and make going forward a lot quicker than having to go back via the cockpit. Our 49 Alaska came with a reasonably standard electronics and equipment package, which included bow and stern thrusters, BEP switchboards, electronic controls, chain counter winch, auto pilot, 48-mile radar, Fusion entertainment system and Raymarine 15 Hybrid Touch.

Traditional Cockpit

The cockpit remains virtually unchanged from the 47 Alaska and is designed for entertaining, be it cocktails in the evening or breakfast in the morning. Central is a large fixed table with an aft lounger, with fridge and Corian benchtop to starboard and a recessed sink unit and ice maker to port.

The overhead roof extends right to the transom and there are acrylic side doors to stop any breeze coming down the bulwarks into the cockpit. You can also add further soft clears around the cockpit for extra protection. There is access both sides of the central island to the boarding platform, where there’s also another sink unit, fresh water and great storage areas for fishing tackle, fenders and ropes.

Best of Both Worlds

So who’s buying the Alaska 49? While you might expect it to be the more senior owner, recent sales have all been to buyers with young families looking for a comfortable and practical cruiser that ticks all the boxes while still offering value. It’s also a boat that provides the performance of a sports boat, but with the spaciousness and comfort of a traditional trawler. Best of both worlds really.

Hampton Yachts New Split-Chine Hull

The new split-chine hull for the Hampton 620, 650,and 720 Pilothouse Motor Yachts is the latest in the development of an advanced-engineered hull form. This highly refined hull is based on essential experience with many fast yachts and commercial craft for 32 years. It is also a close cousin and predecessor to the highly successful Endurance Hybrid Hull.

The Hampton Split-Chine hull was originally developed to improve the pre-planning and early-planning economy of high speed craft. Seeing that major wave-making resistance results from most other hulls’ chines that cross the waterline at a steep angle, Apollonio lowered the chine forward of midships. At typical cruising speeds, these new chines slide smoothly through the water, instead of pushing it out of the way. At higher planning speed these boats’ chines perform the same lifting function as others, so there is no disadvantage. At the same time, the low chines of these hulls smoothly penetrate waves, greatly reducing slamming and harsh ride in rough water. A well-appreciated by product of this feature, is that chine slap at anchor is eliminated.

In order to control a boat’s bow wave and spray, a near-level upper chine section or spray rail is built into the hull. This replaces the high forward part of conventional chines, as if the chine had been split into 2 parts. Hence the term split-chine. The height and low shallow angle of this spray rail also contributes to improved ride quality in rough water, compared to the steep forward parts of conventional chines. A constant stream of compliments has resulted from users of these hulls.

The new Hampton Split-Chine Hull has been re-shaped based on prior experience, and to particularly suit the Hampton Pilothouse yachts arrangements, weights, and centres. Plus, careful fairing of the chine and spray rail into the hull bottom further enhances its ride quality.

The Endurance Hybrid Hull was derived from this hull form by eliminating the forward part of the chine. Then, that part of the hull was re-shaped to resemble the best of high performance displacement hulls. This further reduced resistance in the pre-planning realm, typically 12-20 knots. The hybrid hull’s chines reduce squat/trim, and enable it to run well at early planning speed. At the same time, it typically matches or exceeds the economy of displacement hulls.

2017 Hampton 650 Pilothouse

Hampton Yachts is proud to announce the introduction of the Hampton 650 Pilothouse. Like all Hampton yachts, the Hampton 650 is designed and built for comfortable, safe, and dependable cruising. The attention to detail in every facet of construction on the Hampton 650 is what every discerning yacht owner would expect in a semi-custom yacht. It continues to reflect Hampton Yachts' uncompromising commitment to superior yacht design and construction.

Hampton's in house design team has spent many years refining the Pilothouse yacht concept. This solidly built cruiser with covered side decks features furniture quality interiors custom designed to each owner's specifications. The wide 17' 8” beam on the Hampton 650 allows for large and comfortable living spaces with luxurious amenities.

The planing hull of the Hampton 650 incorporates a modified deep-V design with high forward deadrise sections for a smooth entry in head seas and flatter aft sections with split-chine design by renowned Naval Architect Howard Apollonio to provide an efficient planing surface, resulting in a comfortable, stable, and safe ride. This hull design also incorporates propeller tunnels to lower the propeller shaft angle for greater efficiency and directional stability. The 100% hand laid fiberglass hull is molded in one piece with five outer layers of vinylester resin for blister resistance. The hull is solid fiberglass reinforced with 2 layers of Kevlar from chine to chine and 3 layers of Kevlar in a forward collision zone. The deck, deckhouse, and flybridge are cored with high strength "Divinycell" utilizing modern construction techniques for maximum strength to weight ratio.

The pilothouse of the Hampton 650 offers excellent visibility. The large instrument panel allows for easy installation of the latest instrumentation and navigation equipment. A settee, with an adjustable table and burl inlays, offers a comfortable place to sit and converse with the captain while under way and can also be converted to a dinette for six at the dock. The fly bridge offers a large seating area with adjustable table, helm bench, jump seat, wet bar, refrigerator, and BBQ space.

The main salon of the Hampton 650 offers flexibility for each owner's customization. The owner has the option to choose freestanding or built-in furniture from standard floor plans, or you can work directly with Hampton's in-house design team to create your own design. The salon is equipped with the very latest in high-tech audio and video entertainment equipment, including a 42" HD/ LCD TV and Bose surround sound system.

The galley, located amidships on the main deck, enjoys ample light from the pilothouse windows and has access to both salon and pilothouse. Premium appliances are complemented by the owner's choice of Corian or granite countertop and top quality fixtures.

The Hampton 650's 17' 8" beam allows for three spacious staterooms with plenty of storage and comfortable amenities. Hampton's design team has spent extensive time, both on the computer and in the yacht itself, to ensure maximum utilization of the interior space. Our craftsmen custom-create the built-in dressers, nightstands, and vanity spaces that adorn each stateroom. The master stateroom features a king size bed with excellent storage space and cedar lined hanging lockers. The master head has a shower tub lined with Corian.
