Director, Murray Owen has over four decades’ experience in the business, across commercial, semi-commercial and privately owned vessels.
As Murray explains “The 19m catamaran is around 55 percent complete. Built to survey, she is fared and primed and within six months of completion. “It’s literally a blank slate for her new owner to get the jump on summer and build their dream boat to whatever spec they wish – as a commercial operation: luxury charter, dive boat, game fisher, island hopper, transfer ferry, or for family cruising in complete comfort.
Murray has drafted drawings for four different options and there is plenty of scope for new owners to stamp this superb shell with their personalised preferences. With its 6.15m beam, the vessel
has a massive volume compared to a monohull of equivalent size, and relatively shallow draft.
The oversized cockpit can be adapted for entertaining or game fishing. There’s ample space for seating, fridges, barbeque, ice makers and equipment storage. The current layout features a generously sized saloon with galley on the starboard side, seating and dining space adjacent, with wrap around windows for light and views. Below decks, there are two double cabins forward, each with ensuite, plus a twin cabin on the starboard side and a laundry/storage room to port. Accessed by a starboard staircase is the spacious flybridge with wheelhouse, lounge and large aft deck, delivering commanding views. This upper level can easily be reconfigured to suit her new owners’ requirements. Likewise, the expansive foredeck which could accommodate sunpads, seating and table, plus tender stowage and davit. According to Murray, the new build boasts “range, speed, stability and capacity”, along with the myriad virtues of aluminium craft. “Aluminium vessels are light, low maintenance, durable and stronger than their fibreglass counterparts,” he explains.
